This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the basic components and principles of operation of typical control systems found in industrial settings. Participants are exposed to the most common modes of controls and their advantages and disadvantages. Includes: Introduction to programmable logic controls (PLCs); Programming; input/output devices; Developing a PLC; Maintaining a PLC system; System expansion. Prerequisite: Machine Control System.
